Want a Thanksgiving dinner that's made here in Minnesota, and don't want to have to try too hard to find it?

Then you might want to check out Local Crate Meals, the Minneapolis company that offers Minnesota "ingredient-and-recipe" meal kits to be delivered to your door – like a locally-sourced Blue Apron.

For Thanksgiving, it's offering an entire Thanksgiving meal for 8-10 people, featuring meat and produce raised, grown and made within a 100-mile radius of the Twin Cities – most of which are Minnesotan.

On its Thanksgiving menu is a free-range, herb-roasted turkey from Cannon Falls-based Ferndale Market; dinner rolls from Baker's Field Flour and Bread in the Minneapolis Food Building; vegetables from local farms; and Pecan and Pumpkin Pies from Sara's Tipsy Pies.

It costs you $120 for the meal – so $12-$15 per diner – but stops taking orders for Thanksgiving at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17.

The ingredients will then be delivered on Monday, ready to be prepped and cooked at home a few days later.

It's kinda pricey

To be fair, $120 isn't cheap for a Thanksgiving meal, considering the average cost of Thanksgiving dinner for 10 in 2017 is $49.12, USA Today reports.

Local produce and meat tends to be more expensive however, and Local Crate Meals does offer convenience by taking the hassle out of sourcing the ingredients yourself, delivering it to your door.

You don't have to sign up to Local Crate Meals to order its Thanksgiving Menu.

Its regular subscription service costs $54 a week, which covers two meals for two people (so $13.50 per serving). That reduces to $12 per serving if you order more than two meals.

Its meal kits are also now sold in a handful of Target stores across the Twin Cities. You can find which ones here.
