The new Marvel Comics flick Logan is killing it at the box office, largely thanks to a stellar performance by Hugh Jackman. Jackman has been playing Wolverine on screen for 17 years now, GQ says, and a lot of moviegoers are saying he's better than ever in Logan.

A new clip of the actor at work shows just how much sweat and tears he's put into the role – and also how hilariously weird it can be. Jackman posted the video on Twitter Tuesday morning.

Check it out – and don't forget to turn up the sound:

What the heck is he doing here?

It's called ADR – Additional Dialogue Recording or Automated Dialogue Replacement. Also known as "dubbing," it's just recreating certain sounds or dialogue in a studio to mix into the movie.

And Jackman really gives it his all. Bravo, Wolverine.
