But no, it's taken from a true-life adventure down in Cedar Rapids, Iowa – the hometown of a miniature schnauzer named Sissy.

Nancy Franck had already been hospitalized for two weeks. So how would her husband break the terrible news that their beloved Sissy had run away from home?
