Web Catch: Foo Fighter Dave Grohl plays on with a broken leg
Dave Grohl's place in rock history is already assured, but his legend continues to grow after a terrible mishap Friday.
Performing "Monkey Wrench" before an adoring stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, the Foo Fighters' front man fell off the stage, breaking his leg in the process.
Ever the consummate professional, he addressed the crowd as he lay on the stage, telling them he'd have to go and get some quick treatment and that he'd return, leaving the show in the hands of drummer Taylor Hawkins.
And he was true to his word, being wheeled in halfway through the band's cover version of "Under Pressure" – before finishing off the set from a seat, while he was attended to by a paramedic.
A tweet from the Foo Fighters later confirmed that his leg was, indeed, broken.
Rock on Dave.
