Web Catch: Joyful reunion between lost dog and owner

Jasper is a Whippet who was found wandering in the village of Hurstpierpoint, in England. A good samaritan turned him into the Heath Veterinary Clinic earlier in March – more than six months after his owner reported him missing.

It turns out Jasper had been stolen, and was then sold to a second owner who had looked after him for the last three months. It appears he has a habit of wandering, as the roaming pooch escaped a second time.

The vet was able to contact Jasper's owner thanks to a microchip embedded in his fur. The dog and his owner shared a joyful reunion that was six months in the making and, lucky for all of us, someone caught it on camera.
