It started innocently enough.
Lowe's, the home-improvement retail giant, delivered a 30-second ad touting the brand's confidence-inspiring DIY guides.
In the TV spot, a man's success with his at-home project has given him the confidence to pitch his business idea to his boss: glow-in-the-dark cat hats. (Spoiler alert: it doesn't go over well.)
The company took things a step further with this playful infomercial, showing the frustrations and complete agony of misplacing your cat in your own home.
"If there's one thing those cats don't care about, it's being found by you," states the seemingly faux ad, as disgruntled owners search for their feline friends. The solution? Glow-in-the-dark cat hats, naturally.
Perhaps the most amusing part of Lowe's stunt is that they're actually offering the hats to the first 2,250 people who want one.
...so get yours before it's too late? (Please restrain yourselves from rushing to their website all at once.)
