Web Catch: Watch this sign language interpreter upstage the singer

Viewers in Sweden tuned in to a live broadcast of the Melodifestivalen to see which singer would represent their country in the upcoming Europewide Eurovision competition.

The singer in this video, Magnus Carlsson, did not win. But maybe he can ride the coattails of his sign language interpreter, Tommy Krångh, whose spirited performance led viewers to request that he move on to the international competition.

The sign language feed of the festival was being shown on a cable access channel. Viewership swelled as word of Krångh's flair for interpretation began spreading, a Eurovision news blog says.
