Well this is a little unfair.
Despite being based in Minnesota, Dairy Queen won't be selling any of its limited edition, baseball-themed Blizzards in its home state.
DQ announced that the limited edition iced treat will be available this Thursday only – Opening Day of the Major League Baseball season.
But unfortunately, it's being sold at 15 DQs in cities where Opening Day games will be held.
Because the Twins play their first game in Baltimore, there won't be any "Triple Play Blizzards" for sale here.
Which is a shame, because it sounds pretty great, containing soft serve blended with caramel coated peanuts, caramel popcorn brittle and choco chunks, then topped with "crunchy pretzel rods and choco drizzled-caramel popcorn."
The special edition is being used to mark the first time in 50 years all MLB teams will play on Opening Day.
Update 4:45 p.m.
After Bring Me The News' story went live, Dairy Queen has opened the door on possibly carrying the Triple Play Blizzard at Minnesota locations.
You basically need to lobby your local DQ if you want it.
Thus completes our public service for the day.
