Woodbury native in hunt for title on USA reality series 'Summer Camp'

A self-described "mean girl" from Woodbury is battling it out on USA Network reality series "Summer Camp," the Pioneer Press reports.

Lauren von Drashek, 23, is among the group of 11 campers left on the show, which pits men against women in a competition inspired by classic camp games. The show began last month with 16 competitors.

The winner of "Summer Camp" -- which takes place at a lakeside retreat in California -- takes home a $250,000 prize.

Von Drashek is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in dietetics. According to her show bio, she's a lifelong hockey player who has "spent her fair share of time in the penalty box."

"Whether with her friends or enemies, Lauren pulls no punches, always speaking her mind no matter how painful the truth might be," von Drashek's bio says.

The next episode of "Summer Camp" airs Monday at 10 p.m. CT on USA.
