When it's not hosting Vikings games this winter, you'll find U.S. Bank Stadium filled with skaters and runners.

That's because the stadium is once again throwing open its doors to inline skaters and fitness fanatics on 11 dates in November and December.

Skaters will be able to glide around the stadium's main concourse during "family skating" time from 5-8 p.m., with athletic skaters getting their chance at 8-9 p.m.

It will cost $10 and $5 for children aged 5-12. A season past can also be bought for $100 for adults, $50 for children.

You can buy tickets here – but you need to bring your own equipment.

Runners meanwhile will be able to jog around the upper concourse from 5-8 p.m., in $3 sessions hosted by the Minnesota Distance Running Association.

The first of the midweek sessions will start on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Here's the full list of dates:

  • November 14, 15, 21, 27
  • December 6, 11, 12, 20, 21, 27, 28

Runners will also be able to use the upper concourse on February 12 and 23.

There are no January dates this time round because of the Super Bowl, but the stadium says it may add more skating dates in February after it's over.

The Star Tribune reported that last year's sessions proved hugely popular, with many of the events selling out.

There are only a limited number of nights it can be held on, however, not just because of football, but also because of weddings, banquets and bar mitzvahs held at the stadium, the newspaper noted.
