The clown convention is in town and there's not a politician in sight.
The Crown Plaza Suites in Bloomington, near to the Mall of America, will play host to the 2018 World Clown Association convention.
Clowns from around the globe will fly into MSP for the 5-day extravaganza of red noses, novelty-sized shoes and pratfalls that gets underway on Monday.
Check out the convention website because it looks awesome, with demonstrations including "Ultimate Facepainting," "How 2 be Funny" and "Pocket Magic" on the schedule.
Legendary clown Greg DeSanto, the current executive director at the International Clown Hall of Fame (yes, it's a thing) will give the keynote speech, so to speak, when he takes to the center ring for "Presenting Perfect Pies" on Friday.
While it sounds hilarious it's also serious stuff, with each event designed to educate clowns on becoming the best they can be, as well as offering advice on getting insurance, boosting their business and building their brands on social media.
"It's a whole lot of fun, but primarily a lot of educational opportunities and competitions," Pam Moody, the president of the WCA, told MPR.
If you're looking to catch a glimpse of the clowns, they'll perform in a parade competition from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Mall of America on Tuesday.
