You'll be able to preorder the SNES Classic ... from somewhere
Get your credit card out and cue the Super Mario Kart race start countdown:
Nintendo is going to let people preorder the SNES Classic. The company said on Facebook preorders will be available by the end of August at "various retailers."
Which retailers exactly? That wasn't said.
GoMN reached out to Best Buy and Target – two Minnesota retailers that repeatedly sold out of the crazy popular NES Classic.
A spokesperson for Best Buy said they didn't have any information about whether they'll be offering preorders. But you can sign up to get notified as soon as SNES Classics are available.
A Target spokesperson said they are expecting to have preorders available – but don't have anything to share about when they might be available, or how many units will be offered.
What the SNES Classic comes with
The SNES Classic Edition comes out Sept. 29, for a price of $79.99.
It comes with 21 titles including Super Mario Kart, Link to the Past and Donkey Long Country (find a full list here). Plus you'll get two wired controllers (couch multiplayer!), an HDMI cable, USB charger, and the plug-in.
