Zombie Pub Crawl returning to Twin Cities in October


The walking dead will be roaming the streets of the Twin Cities again this fall.

The Pioneer Press reports that the 9th annual Zombie Pub Crawl has been set for Oct. 12 with festivities in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Apart from the addition of a new Zombie 6.66K run, no other specifics were announced for the event.

The Zombie Pub Crawl website is selling advanced tickets for $25, with a 20 percent discount for groups of 10.

Last year's Zombie Pub Crawl was a huge success with than 30,000 people participating. Among the events were several stages of live music on the West Bank in Minneapolis, and a Zombie Carnival with music by DMX in Midway Stadium in St. Paul.

A total of 8,027 zombies attended the Midway Stadium event, setting a new Guinness World Record for Largest Gathering of Zombies. The total more than doubled the previous record set at the New Jersey Zombie Walk in 2011.

The Twin Cities Zombie Pub Crawl began in 2005 with 500 participants in Minneapolis.
