Three Minnesota restaurants' burgers have made it on a new best burgers in America list.
Travel website Travioso this week published its "50 best burgers in America" list, saying "We've searched coast to coast to find America's best burger. The list includes everything from fast food and street food to fine dining and gourmet cuisine."
In describing its decision to choose Hazelwood as a top spot for burgers, Travioso says, "They proudly claim that their burgers need two hands. These premium Iowa Black Angus burgers are crafted with unique toppings."
Travioso specifically points to two of Hazelwood's burgers: one that has cheese curds, blackberry jam and candied bacon and the cowboy burger that's smothered with barbecue sauce and topped with smoked bacon and crispy onion strings.
"You might just find your next favorite burger here," Travioso says.
Travioso praised Borough's Parlour Burger as "one of the best in the city," saying it has "two delicious patties" topped with American cheese on an egg bun. The Parlour Burger is famous in the Twin Cities, with the meat a mix of ribeye, brisket and ground chuck.
The list also highlights Borough's mixologists and crafted cocktail list.
And what would a national best burgers list be without the jucy lucy?
Travioso describes Matt's Bar as an "unassuming dive bar" that's become an "essential burger restaurant," saying it's "short and sweet menu ... Only the necessary bar food remains, but it’s done right," noting it includes the "legendary jucy lucy."
