8-foot inflatable 'Despicable Me 2' minion stolen

Stillwater Patch reports that a promotional 8-foot inflatable "minion" character from the movie "Despicable Me 2" was stolen from a Stillwater McDonald's.

The giant yellow cartoon character inflatable valued at $250 was swiped from the restaurant on Stillwater Boulevard on the afternoon of July 5, Patch reports. The thief ripped out cords that secured the figure to the ground, Patch says.

McDonald's manager Jorge Barrera told the Pioneer Press that the thieves would have needed a pickup truck to move it. If they deflated it, it takes a giant air compressor an hour to re-inflate it, Barrera said.

"Despicable Me 2," which features the voices of Steve Carrell and Kristen Wiig, opened last weekend.
