A new bubbly bar is coming to Minneapolis – here's how to try it before it opens

Trapeze will serve champagne and sparkling wine, among other things.

There's a new bubbly bar coming to Minneapolis, and people will be able to try it next week.

The champagne and sparkling wine bar called Trapeze is hoping to open by October, but people who go on the second-ever Lit Crawl MN on Sept. 16 will get to stop in before it officially opens, a spokesperson told GoMN.

Trapeze plans to feature around four dozen sparkling wines, cocktails and some non-sparkling wines, as well as snacks like cheese, rillettes and terrines, Mpls. St. Paul Magazine reports

The 20-ish seat bubbly bar – which is by restauranteur Kim Bartmann – is on Lake Street in Uptown, next to Barbette (another one of Bartmann's several Twin Cities restaurants).

What's Lit Crawl MN?

Bartmann actually helped start Lit Crawl MN last year, so it only makes sense that five events with this year's crawl be held at the bar.

The idea behind the Lit Crawl is to celebrate the literary scene in the Twin Cities by featuring local authors, artists and performers at several free events throughout the day, Lit Crawl MN's website says

The crawl will weave through Uptown and finish at Bryant Lake Bowl, a news release says. Events will include readings, improv, games, interactive story building, and hands-on workshops.

Lit Crawl MN runs from 3-10 p.m. on Sept. 16. For more information, click here or here
