In a sure sign that summer is approaching in Minnesota and nothing could possibly go wrong weather-wise, Sea Salt Eatery has announced its opening date for the 2021 season.
The restaurant at Minnehaha Park announced Friday that it will be opening its doors for the 2021 season on Friday, April 16.
The Cajun-style seafood eatery is one of the most popular dining spots in the Twin Cities during the summer, with long lines snaking out of the venue on the doorstep of Minnehaha Falls a common sight.
It had to change things up for 2020 due to COVID-19, with diners instead being asked to order food as takeout and dining was outside-only.
It remains to be seen what the system will be this year, with restaurants now allowed to be open for indoor service at 50% capacity.
Sea Salt said on its Facebook page will provide more details closer to opening day.
While Sea Salt's opening is a sign that spring is here and summer is approaching, here's hoping there's no repeat of 2018, when it had to close a few days after opening because the Twin Cities was hammered by snow.
