Adam Sandler is coming back to Treasure Island this spring

Movie and stand-up comedy star Adam Sandler is coming back to Minnesota for a concert at the Treasure Island Amphitheater.

The actor, known for roles in "Billy Madison," "Happy Gilmore," "Big Daddy," and "The Wedding Singer," has been announced as part of Treasure Island's Summer Concert Series LIVE!

He'll take the stage at the Welch casino's amphitheater on May 31, with tickets going on sale this Friday.

Sandler was at Treasure Island only two years ago, when he was joined by his fellow comic actors David Spade, Rob Schneider and Minnesota's own Nick Swardson.

There's no mention of them this time around, though Sandler is expected to be joined by "surprise guests."

Tickets will range from $42.50 to $149 plus fees, and will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster or at the Treasure Island Box Office.

The show begins at 8 p.m. and is only available to those aged 16 or older, with 16-17 year olds required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Other acts announced for Treasure Island this year include Snoop Dogg, Chicago, Foreigner, Billy Idol, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kid Rock, The Avett Brothers and Trampled By Turtles.
