After March postponement, Nickelback cancels makeup concert in MN

Nickelback fans out there – we've got some bad news.

The Canadian rock band left Minnesota fans disappointed when a family emergency forced the postponement of its Target Center gig this past March.

The band promised a makeup concert on July 25, but this has now been canceled along with the remaining dates on its "No Fixed Address" North America tour, it announced on its website.

This is because frontman Chad Kroeger has been diagnosed with a cyst on his voicebox that will require surgery in three weeks' time, followed by "vocal rest" ordered by doctors.

All tickets bought online will be refunded automatically, while everyone else can get their money back at point of purchase – which includes tickets from the March postponement.

The "How You Remind Me" and "Rock Star" performers are maligned in some musical spheres, but have still proved hugely popular across the world, selling 50 million albums and becoming the 11th-best selling foreign musical act in the United States during the 2000s.
