Alleged drunk driver gets car halfway off bridge in western WI
You see some pretty interesting things on the Facebook profiles of local law enforcement agencies — case in point, this post from authorities in Barron County, Wisconsin.
This weekend, the local sheriff's department posted a picture of a Nissan sedan teetering perilously on the edge of a bridge, along with an unusually candid description:
"Umm sorry but we are pretty sure that guardrail didn’t want to go for a late night swim," it reads. "Maybe the open alcohol containers were why you didn’t stick around to explain how you pulled off this physics defying parking job?"
"If not for some good old fashion American steel that car is getting a cold bath," the sheriff's department added, apparently praising the quality of the guardrail.
It's not clear if the driver of the car has been arrested yet, but per the post, they seem to have fled the scene. But then again, this was more of a "don't drink and drive" thing than a full-fledged press release with all the nitty-gritty details.
"Seriously, please arrange a ride if you are out drinking. This stuff is 100% preventable," the sheriff's department added.
