Twin Cities meteorologist leaving for a new TV job in Denver

Kylie Bearse is a meteorologist with WCCO.

Twin Cities TV meteorologist Kyle Bearse is leaving WCCO for a new job in Denver, Colorado, she announced Thursday. 

Bearse has been the co-host and mid-morning meteorologist on WCCO MidMorning with Jason DeRusha,

"I went to school out there, and from a meteorology standpoint I've always wanted to forecast in the Rocky Mountains for those big snowstorms," Bearse said Thursday.

She's a Minnesota native, but says this move to Colorado will bring her closer to her family, who all live out west. 

Bearse has also been on WCCO's morning news providing both weather and traffic updates. 

Her new TV station will be KUSA in Denver.
