Lost peacock

Police in Champlin were presented with an unusual avian conundrum this past weekend in the form of a lost peacock.

The distinctive bird was found "roaming the neighborhood" in the area of the 1100 block of Gettysburg Ave. N.

"Yes. It's a peacock," Champlin PD said on its Facebook page, issuing an appeal for anyone who lost their peacock to call them on 952-258-5321.

Strangely enough, it's not the first loose peacock reported in Minnesota in recent times.

In 2018, a peacock by the name of "Dave" went missing from a hobby farm in Annandale, with his owners believing he was on the lookout for a girlfriend.
