Aziz Ansari doing 6 stand-up comedy shows in Minneapolis

He'll be in Minneapolis October 1-3.
Publish date:

Aziz Ansari will be in Minneapolis this coming Monday-Wednesday performing six stand-up comedy shows at Acme Comedy Club.

Ansari, who in August started doing pop-up shows in cities across the country, says he's working on new material and will continue doing so in a series of shows throughout the U.S.

His stop in Minneapolis isn't even listed on his website as part of his tour, but Acme says he'll do shows at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tickets to all six shows are already sold out, according to Acme's site.

Ansari is back in the public eye after going radio silent for months after a story published to in January featured a woman accusing Ansari of coercing her into a non-consensual sexual encounter.

Ansari responded by saying the sexual activity on the date was "consensual," adding that he's a big support of the #MeToo movement.

Ansari is best know for his role in NBC's Parks & Recreation and is the creator and star of Netflix series Master of None
