Bad Axe Throwing will open in downtown Minneapolis' City Center this fall

The company says it will be one of its largest locations in the U.S.
Publish date:

Minneapolis' signature City Center, a bridge to downtown's "entertainment and business districts," is welcoming a handful of new tenants - including a new axe throwing spot that will feature a full bar.

Bad Axe Throwing will take over Suite 103 in fall of 2021, City Center management firm Ryan Companies announced Tuesday morning.

Once open, it will mark the second Bad Axe location in the state, the first having opened in Northeast Minneapolis in 2018.

On its website, Bad Axe said its Northeast spot is "at capacity nearly every week," so the company looked to expand.

The City Center location will be about 8,000 square feet, making it the third-largest Bad Axe in the country. It'll feature 24 targets plus a full bar. It plans to host "competitive leagues, birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and corporate and team building events," while also touting its proximity to downtown destinations such as Target Center and U.S. Bank Stadium.

Still unsure what axe throwing even is? Here's an intro video from Bad Axe Throwing:
