You've only got a few days left to enjoy Fabulous Fern's in St. Paul, as it's closing its doors this week.

The Selby Avenue mainstay announced it will close somewhat abruptly this coming Wednesday, May 30.

"We are sad to announce that our last day we will be open for business is next Wednesday, May 30," it posted on Facebook, to the disappointment of its customers.

"We invite you to stop in and let us thank you for your patronage and great memories."

The move shouldn't come as a huge surprise given that the bar's owner, Dan Dahlin, had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September as he sought to reorganize the bar and restaurant, as the Pioneer Press reported.

He was hoping someone would come in and buy the business, citing his own ill-health and the 2015 death of his co-owner Charles Senkler.

The bar and restaurant has built a loyal following over its 26 years in business, and hosts a popular quiz night on Thursdays.
