Hudson's main drag lost a gastropub this week, when the Stone Tap announced its abrupt closure.

The bar and restaurant announced this past Monday that it had shut its doors for good, with the owners writing they're "extremely sad" to make the decision to close after almost 5 years in business.

"Unfortunately the time has come for us to move on and give someone else a chance at operating their dream Restaurant or business in beautiful downtown Hudson, WI," it said.

"Our staff has been incredible and through many hardships and changes, we still appreciate everything our employees over the years have done for us."
