Likely in search of some porridge, a young bear cub crawled through a broken window into the basement of home in Duluth on Saturday morning.
Waiting outside was mama bear, and she wasn't happy.
"When we arrived at the scene and taking in account mama bear maybe around, we shined our flashlights in the front yard. To our surprise, mama bear was staring and growling at us," Duluth Police wrote in a Facebook post.
"Needless to say, we quickly made our way to the door and into the house."
Once inside, the officers were able to get the bear cub into a tote and then carry it outside where they released it back to its growling mother.
