Bite Squad is expanding its reach to two more Twin Cities suburbs, residents of which are being offered a year's free delivery if they make an order during its "grand opening celebration."
The Minneapolis-founded company, which was recently sold to Louisiana-based Waitr in a $231 million deal, has announced it's adding Woodbury and Oakdale to its delivery area.
It has more than 20 restaurants in the two suburban cities signed up for delivery, among them Machete Cocina Mexicana, Famous Dave's, Jersey Mike's, Davanni's Pizza, Crave American Kitchen & Sushi Bar, and Dino's Gyros.
Since launching in 2012, Bite Squad has grown to become the Twin Cities' premier food delivery service.
The move to Woodbury and Oakdale is the first additions by the company since it expanded into the southern Twin Cities suburbs last July.
It now serves 17 cities in the metro: Columbia Heights, Crystal, Eden Prairie, Edina, Falcon Heights, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Maple Grove, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, New Hope, Oakdale, Plymouth, Richfield, Robbinsdale, Roseville, St. Paul and St. Louis Park.
Residents of Woodbury and Oakdale will be able to have the delivery fees waived up a whole year if they make an order and create a Bite Squad account between March 29 and April 14.
Normally, Bite Squad charges a booking fee starting at $2.99 for orders within a 4-mile radius. More information on this deal can be found here.
