Bluefin Bay resort on Lake Superior goes up for sale

The resort first opened in 1984 in Tofte.

Wanted: A new owner for an iconic resort on the shores of Lake Superior.

Bluefin Bay is now on the market, with a brochure issued by real estate company SVN Northco describing it as a "trophy asset" on the North Shore in Tofte.

The resort comprises three elements: The original Bluefin Bay which opened in 1984; Temperance Landing that was built in 2006; and Surfside that followed two years later and was fully finished in 2015.

Between the three, the resort has 229 bedrooms capable of hosting 704 guests across a collection of guest rooms, townhomes and condos.

Also included in the sale is three restaurants: The Bluefin Grille, the Coho Cafe and Bakery, and the Waves of Superior Cafe, wedding and event venues, and the Waves of Superior Spa.

Then there are outdoor and indoor pools, hot tubs, saunas, gyms, an ice rink, tennis courts, and a children's play area – everything you could want from a resort, basically.

The one thing that the brochure doesn't include is a price tag, which hasn't been disclosed in the sale materials.

You can read more about it here.
