Bob Dylan was already planning a return to his home state. Now he'll also visit the city of his birth.
Dylan has added a Duluth performance to his summer tour. He'll play at Bayfront Festival Park on Tuesday, July 9th. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
It's part of the tour Dylan has dubbed the AmericanaramA Festival of Music. He's touring along with Wilco, My Morning Jacket, and the Richard Thompson Electric Trio. Duluth is an addition to the 26 shows that were announced in April.
That schedule includes a July 10th show at Midway Stadium in St. Paul.
The News Tribune reports this will be Dylan's first Duluth performance since 1999, when he gave a nod to his roots by saying on stage: “I was born on the hill over there. Glad to see it’s still there.”
