Bob Dylan will attend Nobel Prize recognition 'if at all possible'

Bob Dylan finally breaks his silence on winning the Nobel Prize.

Minnesota-native and music legend Bob Dylan finally has acknowledged that he won the Nobel Prize for literature.

Dylan won the award two weeks ago, but had been strangely quiet about it since – even deleting a mention of it on his website. One of the members of the Nobel committee even called Dylan's silence "impolite and arrogant."

But that all changed with his interview Friday.

"It's hard to believe," Dylan said in an interview with the Telegraph. "Amazing, incredible. Whoever dreams about something like that?"

According to the interview, Dylan is planning to attend the ceremony in Stockholm to receive the award on Dec. 10, "If it's at all possible."

Along with the prestigious recognition Dylan will receive £750,000.

The legendary folk singer was born May 24, 1941 in Duluth. He moved with his family to Hibbing at the age of 6.

Dylan's first studio album, titled Bob Dylan was released in 1962. Over his career he has released 37 studio albums – most recently Fallen Angels in May of 2016.
