Brian Setzer's anticipated performance scheduled for this week in Minneapolis has been canceled on doctor's orders.

Setzer, the award-winning singer, songwriter and guitarist who leads the Brian Setzer Orchestra, has been forced to cancel his 16th annual "Christmas Rocks!" tour that was due to play at the historic performance venue at 8 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 15.

The cancellation is due to a "severe case of tinnitus," which is the sensation of hearing sound when no external sound is present, according to Mayo Clinic.

“It’s heartbreaking to disappoint my fans who have shared my Christmas seasons with me for over fifteen years,” Setzer said in a release. “I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused all of the amazing people who make my tour happen and to my unbelievably loyal and devoted fans. I hate to let you down and I hope you’ll understand.”

Tickets will be refunded to customers at full price.

The Minneapolis performance was set to be the opener for Setzer's 20-city tour through America, all of which has been canceled.
