Burger, frozen custard chain Freddy's to open 4th Twin Cities location

It opens in Brooklyn Park on Tuesday.

Fast-casual steakburger and frozen custard chain Freddy's will open its fourth Twin Cities location on Tuesday.

The Wichita, Kansas-based chain's latest location can be found at 9901 Xenia Avenue in Brooklyn Park.

The chain – known for its steakburgers, shoestring fries and frozen custard desserts – opened its first Minnesota location in Savage back in 2014. Since then it has added locations in Maple Grove and Lakeville.

The Brooklyn Park restaurant seats 110 people across 3,540-square-feet of space, as well as patio seating and drive-thru service.

Unusual for a fast-food restaurant, it has an open-kitchen concept so customers can watch staff prepare their meals.

"It's a fun way for our guests to get a view of the choreography that goes on in our kitchen as their food is started after they order and still comes out hot and fresh within minutes," said Paul Bruggeman, franchise operator, in a press release.

The outlet will be open between 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, closing an hour later at 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
