A Burlington will take over the space on Minneapolis' East Lake Street formerly occupied by Savers.
The retailer announced Friday that it plans to open a new store in the Hi-Lake Shopping Center (2124 E. Lake Street) in the fall of 2021, though a specific date is not set. It'll replace the Savers that closed there in 2019.
Once open, this Minneapolis locations will be the 11th Burlington in the state.
The announcement promises an "updated, clean design," with a range of products including men's and women's apparel and accessories, kids' clothing, footwear, baby products, home décor and pet care.
The off-price retail brand, formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, is in the midst of a strategic rethink dubbed "Burlington 2.0." The company has a goal of opening 2,000 new stores in the future, some as small-format versions of a typical Burlington location.
Burlington is currently hiring for its new Minneapolis location, with retail sales and store associate among the positions available.
