Butcher and the Boar in Minneapolis closes for good
Butcher and the Boar has closed for good, according to reports.
The Minneapolis restaurant known for its meat and whiskey notified employees Monday night that it would be closing for good, according to Mpls. St. Paul Magazine.
Owner Doug Van Winkle spoke to WCCO about the closure, saying several things played a factor, including the COVID-19 pandemic, social unrest in Minneapolis, crime and high costs of operating downtown.
Butcher and the Boar, which has another location in Charleston, South Carolina, temporarily closed at the beginning of the pandemic but reopened for in-person dining in July.
