Buy Bob Dylan's handwritten lyrics for $30K – never mind the spelling errors

The handwritten lyrics to an unpublished 1961 Bob Dylan song will be auctioned off Thursday. And the starting bid is $30,000.

Try not to be salty, but the song Dylan penned at 20 years old while living in New York isn't about his home state. Rather, it's about its neighbor to the east: Wisconsin.

But if it makes you feel any better, Dylan didn't even spell the state's name correctly. Throughout the song it's scribbled, "Wisconson."

Close, but not quite.

He also misspelled Milwaukee as "Milwakee." Looks like Dylan really could have used spell check.

Here are some of the lyrics, thanks to the auction page:

"1. Wisconson [sic] is the dairy state
I guess you all know well
I was in Wow Wow Toaster there
The truth to you I'll tell
It's milk & cheese & cream
I've known 'em all my days
I'm going back to my hometown I'm leaving right aways"

If you don't know what Wow Wow Toaster is, don't worry. We didn't either. The Star Tribune says it's just a really, really bad misspelling of the city Wauwatosa.

Let's just hope Dylan doesn't actually think that's the name of a city.
