Sun Country is adding another in-flight drink option made in Minnesota.
The airline announced on Thursday that it will be offering Caribou Coffee's Original Crafted Cold Brew Cans to passengers on all Sun Country flights.
Two years ago, the Eagan-based but New York investment group-owned airline came in for criticism for removing Minnesota-made Surly beers from its menu – a decision it swiftly reversed following the outcry.
Now its menu includes Minnesota staples including Fulton Lonely Blonde beer, Prairie Organic Gin and Vodka, Surly Furious and now Caribou Coffee.
The Minnesota coffee chain only launched the cans last summer, following the likes of Starbucks that has had a line of cold brew canned drinks for several years.
"Cold coffee is a way of life for many coffee drinkers, and our new clean label ready-to-drink assortment is a convenient way to enjoy your favorite Caribou beverages on-the-go," says Liva Wolf, VP of Commercial Business at Caribou Coffee, in a press release.
"We’re excited to offer Sun Country travelers a premium cold coffee experience while en route to their next (warm weather) adventure!"
