CCR, Chance the Rapper announce tour stops in Minnesota (not together)

Creedence Clearwater Revisited are saying farewell, while Chance has released his debut album.

Monday saw a pair of concert announcements for the Xcel Energy Center and Treasure Island Resort and Casino respectively.

The Welch, Minnesota, casino will be hosting a stop for the farewell tour by Creedence Clearwater Revisited, the spinoff band resurrected for touring in the mid-90s by Creedence Clearwater Revival founding members Stu Cook and Doug "Cosmo Clifford."

Known for hit songs such as "Have You Ever Seen The Rain? "Susie Q" and "Proud Mary," they'll play the Island Event Center on October 11.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m., costing $47, $57 and $67. You can book tickets via Ticketmaster or at the Island Box Office. The show starts at .8 p.m. and all attendees must be 12+ years of age.

Meanwhile the Xcel Energy Center is preparing to welcome Chance the Rapper, who announced a 35-stop North American tour on Monday.

The Chicago rapper and songwriter will play the Xcel Energy Center on Oct. 29, in support of his debut album "The Big Day."

A press release from the rapper promises "special guests," with Pitchfork noting that he has collaborated with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon on his first album.

Presale tickets are available now, with general sale tickets becoming available Friday at 10 a.m.
