While idly watching some classic game shows on Buzzr Tuesday evening, a Bring Me The News reader spotted a familiar face.

Hang on a minute, that's Frank Vascellaro of WCCO-TV fame on a 1988 episode of Sale of the Century!

Yes, Vascellaro, now a household name in the Twin Cities thanks to being a long-serving anchor on WCCO-TV alongside his wife, Amelia Santaniello, is a past Sale of the Century winner.

Through the tip, we were able to track down another episode featuring the fresh-faced Frank, who was returning to the show as a winner and ultimately departed unsuccessful – but not before winning $3,600 total ($7,960 in today's money) and a "beautiful pool table."

Vascellaro confirmed when the episode ran again in 2019 that it was indeed him.
