Legendary pop singer Cher is returning to the Twin Cities for a gig at Target Center June 11, the Star Tribune reports.

The announcement comes a day before the release of Cher's latest album, "Closer To the Truth."

The public sale for the tickets begins Oct. 11 at 10 a.m.

A pre-sale for American Express cardholders runs Sept. 30 through Oct. 3.

Tickets are $133, $97.50, $47.50 and $27.50.

The singer's "Dressed to Kill Tour" will hit 48 North American cities.

Cher, 67, will also be playing Midwest dates in Milwaukee (June 6), Chicago (June 7) and Des Moines (June 9).

The Pioneer Press says the singer last played the Twin Cities in 2004 during her "Farewell Tour" -- later called the "Never Can Say Goodbye Tour," which ran for three years. She made three stops in the Twin Cities during the extended 325-city tour stretch.

Never one to mince words, Cher was blunt with her thoughts about Miley Cyrus' controversial performance MTV Video Music Awards on a "CBS Sunday Morning" interview over the weekend.

"I didn't like it. If she would have come out naked and it was beautifully done, I would have said, 'You go girl.' I don't care about that," Cher told interviewer Anthony Mason. "I don't like to see stuff done badly ... all of it was terrible -- outfit terrible, dancing terrible, singing average, performance terrible."
