We're not going to understate how awesome this is going to be: Mario Kart is coming to smartphones.
It's been almost a year since Nintendo introduced its most famous character to smartphone and tablet users for the first time with the release of Super Mario Run.
But we expect it's next release to be an even bigger seller, with Nintendo confirming work is underway to bring Mario Kart Tour to handheld devices.
It means you can play a game from one of Nintendo's most addictive series without having to shell out $300 for a Nintendo Switch.
There's no official release date, with Nintendo saying it'll be released by the end of the financial year ending March 2019, which means it could land any time from April onwards.
Here's hoping it's in April.
Mario Kart is one of Nintendo's biggest sellers, with 7 million-plus copies of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe being sold since the Nintendo Switch was released.
And as The Verge reports, Nintendo isn't likely to stop releasing games on mobile anytime soon, with efforts underway to bring another of its critically acclaimed franchises, The Legend of Zelda, to handheld devices.
