D'Amico & Sons is closing its St. Paul restaurant

The Grand Avenue location will close on Feb. 24.

Twin Cities Italian restaurant chain D'Amico & Sons is closing its location in St. Paul.

Staff at the restaurant at 975 Grand Avenue confirmed to BMTN on Monday that it will be closing on Sunday, Feb. 24, after 22 years at the spot.

The news was first reported by the Pioneer Press, which said that a sign posted on its counter noted that the restaurant's "lease is fulfilled" and it will be closing "with great sadness in our hearts."

The Grand Avenue restaurant is one of seven D'Amico has in the Twin Cities metro.

The others are on Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis, Edina, Roseville, Wayzata, Golden Valley, and at the McNamara Alumni Center at the University of Minnesota.

It also has a location in Naples, Florida.

Its parent company, D'Amico and Partners, also operates Campiello in Eden Prairie, and Lurcat at Minneapolis' Loring Park.
