St. Paul native funnyman Louie Anderson and NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had the lowest combined score in the partner diving episode of "Splash" Tuesday night, but still managed to remain on the ABC reality competition.

Anderson and Abdul-Jabbar, who earned an average score of 5.75 doing a back dive from 16 feet up, were spared after one of the divers in the final scheduled dive of the night -- reality personality Kendra Wilkinson -- became frightened before the dive and backed out. She was eliminated by default.

Even though Wilkinson's diving partner, extreme skier Rory Bushfield, didn't dive, he stayed on the show.

Anderson took the opportunity to crack jokes during the critique of his and Abdul-Jabbar's dive.

When judge Steve Foley remarked, "There was a lot of body weight going through that water and I've never seen a tsunami in a dive pool before" and called it "pretty phenomenal," Anderson replied, "You mean a Lou-nami don't you?"

If Wilkinson and Bushfield would have dived and eclipsed Anderson's and Abdul-Jabbar's score, the comedian and basketball great would have had to face each other in a dive-off, with the lowest scoring diver going home.

Anderson, Jabbar, Bushfield, Katherine Webb, Drake Bell, Nicole Eggert and Brandi Chastain will face off in the competition next week.
