People leaving their trash on the ice after they get done ice fishing is a problem that the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is tired of hearing about.

With that, they've got a message for anyone guilty of littering on the frozen lakes.

"This annual problem seems to be getting worse -- ice anglers leaving their trash behind when they head for shore. It’s one of the most common complaints conservation officers receive during the winter," the message posted to Facebook says

"The simple solution: If you brought it onto the ice, pack it with you when you leave. There’s no excuse for leaving anything but an impression when you leave the lake."
