This is an unusual move from Domino's Pizza, whose latest publicity stunt involves an offer to fix potholes in American towns.

The pizza chain has already carried out repairs in four, non-Minnesota locations in recent weeks, and now is throwing it out to the wider American public, who are being urged to nominate their own town for repairs.

We Minnesotans know pothole woes more than most, given our hard winters that lead to cracking asphalt as conditions warm up, so if you want Domino's to deliver repairs to your town you can sign it up at Paving for Pizza.

Selected towns and cities will get a "paving grant" from Domino's with which to carry out the repairs "so pizzas make it home safely."

"We don't want to lose any great-tasting pizza to a pothole, ruining a wonderful meal," Domino's USA president Russell Weiner said.

It comes hot on the heels of the stunt it launched in November, where Domino's offers "carryout insurance" for any collection customers who drop their pizza before getting it home.
