Due to huge demand, Plymouth adds second drive-in movie venue

The idea has been so popular, the city says, that it has added a second location.

Plymouth has decided to add a second location for its free drive-in movie nights.

The city announced the social distancing-friendly August event series earlier this month, and has now added a second venue because of the wide interest, according to its website

The free events will take place on Thursdays from Aug. 6 to Aug. 20 in the parking lots of Plymouth Creek Center and TCF Bank at the Plymouth Corporate Center.

Attendees are asked to park in the parking lots at either venue, stay in their vehicles, and bring their own snacks and beverages.

The family-friendly movies viewings begin at dusk (approximately 8:45 p.m.). Both locations will show the same movies on the same dates.

Portable restrooms are available.

Here are the next three movies, which start at about 8:45 p.m at both venues:

Aug. 6 - Monsters Inc.

Aug. 13 - Aladdin (2019)

Aug. 20 - The Mighty Ducks
