Duluth's Wild State Cider is recalling one of its THC drinks
Wild State Cider is recalling its THC-infused Birdie Honeyberry Lemonade, the company announced on Wednesday.
The Duluth cidery announced the recall "out of an abundance of caution" due to the product being "insufficiently pasteurized, due to the presence of fresh fruit," leaving open the possibility for continued "fermentation to occur in warm cans."
While there are no safety concerns for individuals who have consumed the product, Wild State suggests consumers dispose of the cans. It will provide refunds or replacements to customers who purchased the drink. The company adds that "cans that have been refrigerated are unlikely to be pressurized."
It recommends placing cans in a box or plastic bag before disposing.
This is the only one of its Honeyberry products that is under recall. Customers interested in a refund can contact Wild State at info@wildstatecider.com. More details can be found here.
Correction: An earlier version of this article stated that the recalled drink was a Wild State Honeyberry Cider, when it is actually a THC drink. Wild State's Honeyberry Cider has not been recalled. Bring Me The News apologizes for the error.
