The food hall at Rosedale Center will celebrate the Minnesota State Fair in its own way with a 12-day festival of food, contests, giveaways and activities called Minnesota Fare.
Potluck, the food hall at the mall, will host the event from Aug. 27-Sept. 7, a news release says. All of its vendors will serve up State Fair-themed food. Some of the menu items include mini hand pies, bacon cheddar biscuits on a stick, burger curds, pizza turnovers, Nordic Waffles, lobster corn dogs and pork belly on a stick.
Minnesota Fare will also feature fair-themed activities that people can participate in and win prizes, including food art. There will also be musical entertainment – there will be life-sized cutouts of artists on display with their hits playing in the background.
Throughout the 12-day event, there will be giveaways to the first people in the door.
The vendors at Potluck are Betty and Earls, Burger Dive, Chickpea, Grand Ole Creamery, Nordic Waffles, Obachan and Smack Shack. Potluck's website is here.
The Minnesota State Fair was canceled due to COVID-19, but there are many opportunities for people to get their fix of the fair this summer. There is a State Fair food parade drive-through at the fairgrounds. Local breweries are serving up their State Fair-exclusive brews. There's a Blue Barn pop-up this summer and many State Fair food vendors are setting up shop around the state (find them here).
