Friday's drawing for the Mega Millions jackpot is worth $422 million, the sixth-largest of all time.

According to Mega Millions officials, it would rank as the 19th largest jackpot for any lottery game in the U.S., and would fall just shy of a couple of gigantic Mega Millions winners from earlier this year.

Someone in New Jersey won a $533 million Mega Millions jackpot in the Mar. 30 drawing, and a 20-year-old man from Florida won the $451 million prize on Jan. 5. That guy purchased five QuickPick tickets and wound up hitting all six winning numbers.

The cash prize for Friday's drawing is worth an estimated $254 million.

The largest the Mega Millions ever was $656 million in 2012. The Powerball holds the top lottery spot of all time in the U.S., with a $1.6 billion prize shared by three winners in 2016.

Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10 p.m. CT.
