Finally announced: The Rolling Stones coming to MN this summer
After a highly anticipated announcement turned into a false start, the Rolling Stones' tour dates have been officially revealed.
The iconic rock band will play Minneapolis on June 3 at TCF Bank Stadium, the band announced Tuesday morning.
It's the third stop on a 15-city tour of North America.
General tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time, Monday April 13. American Express card members can get them for U.S. dates starting a few days earlier, Wednesday April 8.
Many Stones fans were actually expecting an announcement nearly two weeks ago.
Billboards around the Twin Cities hinted at a big announcement for Thursday, March 19 – but that day came and went without a peep from the band.
Some reports indicated there was an issue with the promoters and the ticketing system, which led to a delay in the announcement.
